Harris/Fairfax Wedding 2010

This couple had a nice simple wedding. His grandfather is a minister and he performed the ceremony at the church he presides over. It was very special day for them with many special touches. This was a very intimate wedding because of all the little things they included to make it extra memorable.

His grandfather does a portion of the ceremony where they pour sand into a vase to represent the mixing of their lives. It made for a nice picture to represent their unity as a married couple. Then when they left the church everyone blew bubbles. It was very cute.

They went to the church his grandfather did his first services as a minister to take pictures. The church is now on the campus of a college that her mother used to teach at. I thought it was a nice touch to add sentimental locations to their wedding photos.

They are both HUGE Cardinals fans so they set up a concession stand with popcorn in baseball hats, cracker jacks and sugar cookies decorated like baseballs. It was a nice personal touch. Plus the kids loved it. I also liked the groom's cake. He likes to fish so it's a man in a boat on a lake. I enjoy when the couple adds little things from their relationship. I enjoy getting to know the couple throughout the process of being the photographer and I always enjoy seeing them share little things and moments with others on their special day. The Wedding day is unforgettable and special but it is nice when a couple makes it truly their own! They had a beautiful wedding day and a beautiful start to life together!
